Meet Alyssa Scivoletti, IMFT, CTP
Alyssa Scivoletti is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Trauma Professional who provides intentional, trauma-informed care for individuals, couples, and families navigating complex and often overwhelming seasons of life. She brings both clinical depth and genuine humanity to her work, creating a space where clients feel steady, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
Alyssa specializes in the treatment of trauma, chronic stress, and persistent pain conditions. She understands that trauma is not only something that happened, but something the nervous system continues to carry. Chronic pain, anxiety, burnout, and relational strain are often intertwined with unresolved stress responses. Her work focuses on helping clients regulate their nervous systems, reduce reactivity, and rebuild a sense of internal safety.
Central to her approach is co-regulation. Alyssa believes healing happens in relationship. By offering a grounded, calm, and attuned presence, she helps clients experience safety in real time, often for the first time. From that place of steadiness, deeper trauma processing and sustainable change become possible.
She is EMDRIA-trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), both highly respected, evidence-based treatments for trauma and post-traumatic stress. As a Certified Trauma Professional, she integrates structured, effective interventions with a person-centered philosophy that ensures clients remain in control of their pace and process.
Alyssa works well with high-performing individuals who carry significant responsibility yet privately struggle with anxiety, grief, chronic pain, or the pressure to hold everything together. She also has extensive experience supporting high-conflict couples and families in moving from reactive cycles toward clarity and healthier communication.
Her practice is affirming and inclusive. Alyssa is sex-positive, kink-affirming, and experienced in working with ethically non-monogamous relationships. She practices from a Health at Every Size and fat-positive perspective and has extensive experience serving members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
While therapy can involve deep and vulnerable work, Alyssa believes it does not have to feel heavy all the time. Laughter is welcome. Humor can be regulating. Moments of lightness often sit alongside moments of profound growth.
Licensed in Ohio and Connecticut, Alyssa offers virtual therapy in both states and in-person sessions in Blue Ash, Ohio. She is in network with Aetna, Cigna, Medical Mutual, and Anthem/Carelon, and also offers private pay options.
When she is not in session, Alyssa enjoys hot Pilates, iced coffee, and spending time with her four dogs. One of her favorite parts of telehealth is occasionally meeting her clients’ beloved furry or scaly companions.
Above all, Alyssa is committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels grounded, collaborative, and deeply respectful. Clients can expect to feel heard, validated, and supported as they move toward greater stability, resilience, and well-being.

It also supports you in releasing past difficulties and fostering renewal, reflecting the river’s ability to refresh and overcome obstacles.
